My name is Johnny Luna-Lima. I am a 23 year old OCR athlete who loves to play in the mountains. I grew up playing soccer at an elite level, in my late teen years I played for the San Jose Earthquakes and then went on to play at the collegiate level at California State San Bernardino. One year into my college soccer career I began to feel disconnected and burnt out from my sport. During a break from it I discovered OCR and immediately was drawn to it. Training for OCR lead me to the mountains, during long training runs I fell in love with the adventure and freedom they offered me. In 2019 I will be focusing on the Spartan Race National Series, Spartan Race World Championships, some skyraces and some personal mountain projects. Vamonos!

RACE SCHEDULE

  • Saturday long run done ✔️ Getting stoked for longer days on trails! 📸: @wackera
  • Seattle you were great but you were also wet and cold. Stoked to be back in sunny and dry Boulder and looks like it's time to spend more time in the mountains! #SpartanRace
  • First time racing Seattle was a success for me! Finished 4th overall! After running my way to third place I got to the table top vertical cargo obstacle and kept slipping off the damn thing. Ryan Kent comes along and does it first try and I follow him. I managed to chase him down on the run but couldn't hang on the carry. Congrats on the podium man! Happy to have run a clean race in the rainy conditions! See y'all in Big Bear. The mountains are calling! #SpartanRace
  • 3rd stop of the Spartan Race National Series tomorrow. It's supposed to be a muddy and rainy one. Stoked to test myself once again tomorrow! #SpartanRace #USNS
  • Seattle Spartan Race this weekend. First time at this venue. Almost time to get down and dirty! #SpartanRace 📸: @s_squared_photography
  • Run followed by skimo. Starting to get the hang of this skiing thing... Sort of. Too bad the season is almost over! #Uphill
