Q & A

My first obstacle course race was the 2014 AT&T Park Spartan Sprint. I saw an ad on my computer for Spartan Race and decided to sign up because I had just finished up my track season and was feeling fast! I ended up finishing 9th place elite, with zero burpees but that's only because there was no spear throw.

I love feeling absolutely destroyed after a race, knowing I gave it everything I had. You can try to replicate that intensity in training but it's only during competition when you can find your maximum effort.

Morzine, France. I ran the Spartan Race in Morzine last year and it was an unreal experience. The entire town came out to cheer on the athletes and the mountains were beautiful, but unforgiving.

I am a die hard fan of the television show Friends. I watch it every night before going to bed. Quiz me on anything!

Hunter Mcintyre. His ability to compete against the top athletes in the world in any race distance with his large frame is just impressive. He's also the #1 short course racer in the world, so he's the guy I need to take down!

My first solo trip out of the country was amazing and I doubt I’ll ever want to travel with someone again. I met 100’s of amazing people from all over the world and despite being on the other side of the world from my home I never felt alone. Thank you to everyone for the amazing memories, you know who you are 👊! Already getting excited to plan another trip to Asia, I’m thinking Vietnam, Cambodia, and Lyos!
  • 5am wake up call to see the sunrise at the top of Tiger Temple! This entire trip to Thailand has been amazing. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to post too many photos because I got my phone stolen😬. Side note: we knocked over some dudes GoPro that was on the ledge behind us while taking this photo. Thankfully I was able to bushwhack my way down the cliffside and find it 🙌🏼! Meeting the best people at @slumberpartyhostels #adventurehardpartyharder
  • First day in Krabi and it was insane! Always wanted to see the Thai islands that pop out of the water and saw plenty today! Thanks to @slumberpartyhostels for the awesome trip! #adventurehardpartyharder
  • Making due with whatever equipment I can find while traveling through Thailand! And the humidity is out of control 😬
  • BIG ADVENTURE! Heading to Thailand today for one month! This will be the 12th country I’ve visited, but the first time traveling out of the country solo! This should be interesting 👍! First stop: Bangkok
