Training in the gym for obstacle course racing

Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge Highlight

My story with my son, Dax who has autism, that was highlighted on the NBC TV show, Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge.

Q & A

2015 Spartan Utah Super. I was encouraged by a friend and really liked the idea of doing a run intermixed with strength and skill obstacles. I was attracted to Spartan because it seemed to be more of a challenge than just getting muddy.

I'm fulfilled and empowered by pushing my body and being able to do something that I previously couldn't. I want to find my limits and push through them. The ocr community is also a huge reason I want to get out to as many races as I can. I absolutely love the people I have met through competing.

New Zealand. I've always been intrigued with the lands "down under" and there could be so much variety in terrain.

Don't let fear stop you from trying a new race, new venue, more competitive heat, or really any opportunity! I never could have imagined all that I've been able to experience in obstacle course racing and it all started from signing up for that first race.
