Brooke Bowen grew up swimming competitively and developed a training work ethic that has served her well as a multi-sport athlete. Over the years, she has focused on triathlon, marathon, swimming, p90x, and has now set her sights on becoming a dominant obstacle racer. Brooke balances her training, raising 3 kids with her husband, running her own business as a hairdresser, serving in her church, and managing her household with a laser sharp focus and commitment to being the best she can be in all areas.

2015 Spartan Utah Super. I was encouraged by a friend and really liked the idea of doing a run intermixed with strength and skill obstacles. I was attracted to Spartan because it seemed to be more of a challenge than just getting muddy.
I'm fulfilled and empowered by pushing my body and being able to do something that I previously couldn't. I want to find my limits and push through them. The ocr community is also a huge reason I want to get out to as many races as I can. I absolutely love the people I have met through competing.
New Zealand. I've always been intrigued with the lands "down under" and there could be so much variety in terrain.
Don't let fear stop you from trying a new race, new venue, more competitive heat, or really any opportunity! I never could have imagined all that I've been able to experience in obstacle course racing and it all started from signing up for that first race.
